Leadership Assessment

  • Our client, a New Zealand engineering organisation, wanted to asses two tiers of leaders during a change process and required a contestable recruitment process.
  • We designed an assessment programme using behavioural interviewing based on the DDI Targeted Selection® system and a range of psychometric assessments covering ability and personality. These were tailored to the different levels of the leaders and provided legally robust assessment of skills and experience.
  • Both individuals and our client received detailed development reports outlining the individual skills and development needs to assist in the selection process.

Assessment Centre

  • As a result of a merger and major integration process, our client sought to identify talent throughout the company and assess their potential for leadership.
  • A one-day assessment centre process was implemented using DDI's 'day in the life' exercises. Through this process, more than 120 candidates were assessed.
  • Participants received an in-person debrief and results summary, including a personalised developmental guide. We then summarised the group data and analysed organisational themes to provide the basis for subsequent development recommendations.

Assessment for leadership development planning

  • Our client wanted to implement a leadership development programme for its sales and marketing team.
  • Sheffield ran a series of assessment centres and online 360 surveys to understand skills and development needs.
  • We then took this diagnostic information and worked with our client to create a customised leadership development programme, including one-on-one coaching tailored to individual needs.
