Since its founding in the early 1960s, Sheffield has been a market leader in the New Zealand executive search and selection market. Over time we have become well-regarded for the quality and depth of our evaluative capability, which includes the use of DDI’s Target Selection methodology, and the ethical rigour of our approach. These remain at the core of the way we do business.

Our national team of search consultants is supported by professional research associates, an extensive knowledge management centre and a candidate support centre.

In 2002, Sheffield's executive search business joined The Accord Group, one of the world's leading executive search organisations. In 2006 this group merged with Leaders Trust International and Oxygen Executive Search to form AltoPartners. The enhanced capacity of this network is 63 experienced partners and 125 search professionals in 32 offices spanning Europe, Asia, the Americas and Australasia. Our international colleagues bring to the search process an understanding of both their local culture and business conditions.
