Progressive Consulting support businesses with HR advice, and have done since 1998. As the HR consulting division of Crowe Horwath, they currently operate out of Southland, Queenstown, Dunedin and Hawkes Bay offices, although, they have clients all over the country, and travel to wherever the work requires.
The company works with a diverse client base predominantly from the SME sector, and ranging in size from very small, to having multiple business entities across New Zealand. They also work across a wide range of industry’s – from health, education and local government, to tourism, manufacturing, transportation, farming and community groups.
Reporting to the National Director, this role is critical to ensure the effective delivery of tailored HR solutions. Your overall responsibility will be to assign, and review work completed by Consultants, and provide support to further develop Consultant capability. In addition, you will also be responsible for providing HR consultancy services to Progressive Consulting clients.
We are seeking an individual from an HR background, with an appropriate tertiary qualification and ideally with prior experience in a consulting environment. In addition, we are seeking someone who:
Is able to accurately interpret client needs and advise accordingly in line with current HR law.
Is highly organised, able to work autonomously and with strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to forge long-term business partnerships and display excellent commercial judgement
Ability to participate in and manage teams, including distributing work and managing workflow and deliverables.
The ability to effectively manage all aspects of client and staff relationships, including communication, exercising judgement, proactive thinking, risk management and performance evaluation.
