To continue to achieve our goals and visions, Palmerston North City Council has had an overhaul of its Infrastructure Unit. A key outcome of this was the establishment of a Project Management Office (PMO), which is responsible for the Infrastructure Units overall programme and project management function. We’re now in need of a proven senior manager to get the teams functionality up to full speed.

The Manager – Project Management Office will report into the Chief Infrastructure Officer on the executive leadership team This is a role you can really make your mark on the future of the organisation - you’ll define PMO strategy and lead design and implementation of the project management framework for use Council wide. You’ll need to be familiar with the Local Government Act and associated legislation. You’ll also have a proved track record of successful stakeholder management and relationship building.

Your team is going to be key to delivering projects across the Infrastructure wide programme of works. You’ll have a tangible impact on the city, with your work in implementing key projects. As well as developing the skills of your team, you’ll be managing strategic and significant regional projects, so you get the best of both worlds!
