Strategic Pay is a high profile consulting firm that provides innovative solutions to organisations for their strategic remuneration, performance development and performance improvement needs. Strategic Pay has a New Zealand-wide client following across the private, public and not for profit sectors, from SMEs through to large multinationals, along with local and central government entities.  Due to continued growth, Strategic Pay now has a requirement for a new Consultant to join their busy and successful Christchurch based office. 

The role is primarily responsible for working with clients to develop remuneration and performance solutions, advising in areas such as job evaluation, market pricing, remuneration policy, links between performance and pay. This will require travel and visiting clients, interpreting client needs, pro-actively cultivating relationships in order to develop a client base and to win and deliver projects on a regular basis. Consultants will also assist Senior Consultants with the implementation of larger projects for various aspects of remuneration and reward strategy.

We seek tertiary qualified candidates who have at least five years’ commercial experience and a good understanding of how business works and organisational accountabilities. Experience with human resources is not a pre requisite; however an affinity for numbers, a demonstrated analytical approach and the ability to understand and interpret data certainly are. Candidates who are highly organised, able to work autonomously, with a strong focus on detail and the delivery of quality results are preferred. You will have excellent report writing and presentation skills, be experienced using excel and other MS suite tools and comfortable working with a variety of automated data systems. A professional, calm and measured approach coupled with excellent relationship development skills are critical to success, as is initiative, confidence and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple assignments.
