The Blind Foundation is New Zealand’s main provider of practical and emotional support for the tens of thousands of Kiwis who are blind or have low vision, enabling them to face their future with confidence. Established over 125 years ago, the Foundation employs around 340 staff across its 18 sites, making it one of New Zealand’s largest and most complex Not For Profit organisations.
Reporting to the Board of Directors through the Chair, the CE leads the organisation to ensure it can meet the current and future requirements of its stakeholders and provide a high-quality service to its clients. Critical to this is the ability to drive a culture of excellence and accountability, ensuring that the key objectives of the Foundation are met through a client-centred approach with a focus on securing the long-term sustainability of the Foundation.
