Our client is a boutique property development business who purchase, develop, lease and sell light commercial and residential developments in Christchurch. They are experiencing strong growth and require additional resource to enable the smooth operation and expansion of this business.

About the role

Working closely with the Directors and the Development Manager, the newly created position of Business Development & Acquisitions Manager will identify property acquisition prospects, maximising opportunities to enable business growth. This is not a desk-bound role and will require you to be out developing and nurturing key contacts and relationships to identify and leverage these opportunities as they arise.

Skills and Experience

Full training and mentoring will be provided by the Directors, so a track record of experience in the property market is not expected. The successful candidate will:

  • Have successful sales experience in any industry and a good sales instinct with a good blend of hunting & farming skills.
  • Have a likeable nature with a passion for developing relationships and a be natural networker with a track record of connecting easily with people.
  • Be able to use technology to find opportunities/deals, and have existing experience with sales systems & processes, including CRM.
  • Have a good level of commercial acumen and some experience with negotiation.
  • Be motivated, nimble, autonomous, a self-starter, highly responsive and enjoy working in a small team.
