Based in the Central North Island, our client is an organisation highly committed to communicating and staying connected to its communities. Through positive growth and transformation, it is now seeking a Communications and Engagement Manager.
The Opportunity
This role represents a unique opportunity to lead a new approach to building strong stakeholder relationships on behalf of one of the largest organisations in the region.
Working closely with the General Manager People, this critical and strategic role will provide leadership across an integrated function of engagement and communications professionals to strengthen further stakeholder relationships and enhance reputation management.
The role will be responsible for driving implementation of the strategy and acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO. The function will play a crucial role in ensuring the organisation can respond fully to a range of issues and support positive, transparent and effective operational activity. Developing and managing effective relationships and supporting the organisation to build trust through credible and honest communication will signify success.
Skills and Knowledge
Candidates will have an appropriate level tertiary qualification and possess significant experience in demanding leadership roles in complex and diverse organisations. As a future focused thought leader, you will also have a demonstrated record of empowering leadership, effective and highly developed strategic management skills, and the desire to embed a fresh approach to communication across the organisation, including innovative digital initiatives. A track record of an ability to engage across diverse stakeholder groups is absolutely central to success in this position.
