Celebrating Women's Suffrage at the Kate Sheppard High Tea

The Sheffield South Island team enjoyed celebrating the Christchurch Foundation Women’s Fund grant winners recently at the Kate Sheppard Women’s Fund High Tea on September 19th.

The event at Te Pae, was an afternoon recognising 130 years of women’s suffrage while also acknowledging the three strong female change makers Dr Hafsa Ahmed, Monique Lau and Fariya Naseem who are the Kate Sheppard Women’s Fund grant winners for 2023.

With guest speaker the Rt Hon. Dame Jenny Shipley, it was a wonderful afternoon and fabulous opportunity to come together and support the great work the Foundation does in supporting these change leaders to invest in their potential and grow their impact, while also acknowledging 130 years of Women’s Suffrage this year.
