Dunedin City Council appoints Group Manager 3 Waters

We have pleasure in congratulating Dave Ward being appointed recently to the Group Manager 3 Waters role with Dunedin City Council.

Dave moves to Dunedin City Council from Watercare Services Limited in Auckland where he had previously worked since 2011, most recently in the role of Head of Operations Excellence.

The Group Manager 3 Waters role will provide leadership to Council’s 106 staff in the 3 Waters Group and manage the key strategic initiatives, building a strong culture as Council responds to the Government’s Water Reforms.

Dave was found through an extensive Sheffield Search process. When asked how he found the recruitment process, Dave commented:

“I wish to applaud Sheffield for their professional, considerate and thorough approach to recruitment. I, like many people who are looking to secure senior roles in public sector entities, want to be assured that we are joining competent and professional organisations.  Sheffield's approach of personal contact, detailed candidate assessment and rigorous evaluation provided me with the assurance I was seeking and is critical to ensuring New Zealand has a very capable workforce. It was a pleasure to work with Louise Green and her team and I benefited greatly from understanding how I would fit into my new role and what I would need to focus on to be successful.

We wish Dave all the very best in his new role with Dunedin City Council.
