Sheffield South Island have a proud history supporting BrainTree and the important work they do helping people living with neurological conditions in the community. Simon Challies is well known as the driving force behind Braintree over the last five years and has recently retired as an Independent Director. We were delighted to partner again with the Board in their recruitment of two new Independent Directors.
Congratulations to Natalie Thain and Colin Slade on their appointment to the Braintree Board. Natalie joins as an Independent Director and Colin as an Associate Director.
Natalie has a consulting background in strategy, transformation and organisational development and was Independent Director at the Crusaders for 9 years. With experience in governance roles across private sector and not-for-profit organisations, she brings a strategic perspective underpinned by strong leadership, communication, and collaboration.
As an ex-All Black, Colin is well known. After his rugby career he moved into financial services, joining Forsyth Barr in 2022. Colin is an investment adviser with strong financial literacy and governance foundations, complemented by 15 years in high-performance sport. Experienced in strategic thinking and values-based leadership, he has a genuine commitment to organisations delivering positive community outcomes.
Wishing you both all the best as you begin your time with Braintree and the important work they do.
