New Registrar for Medical Sciences Secretariat

Sheffield Search congratulates Hamish McDouall on his appointment as Registrar at the Medical Sciences Secretariat (MSS).

“We’re pleased to congratulate Hamish on his appointment as Registrar at MSS, and to thank the appointing panel for the opportunity to support this important process.”  – Nicholas Buck, Associate Director

A qualified barrister and solicitor, Hamish brings significant experience in governance, regulation, and public service. He has served as Mayor of Whanganui, Vice President of Local Government New Zealand, and most recently, Registrar at the Social Workers Registration Board.

The Medical Sciences Secretariat provides professional and regulatory support to the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand and the Medical Radiation Technologists Board—two statutory authorities responsible for setting standards and ensuring public safety in the medical sciences and medical imaging professions. Within the MSS, the Registrar plays a vital role in the support and oversight of these professions.

We wish Hamish and the team at MSS every success in this next chapter.
