Profile
Philippa Geere-Watson joined Sheffield in 2024.
Business Experience
Philippa has twenty years’ experience in large scale, complex organisations in the public sector, in both central and local government. Nine of those years was with Auckland Council, specialising in Advisory services. In this role, she was the expert in best practice advice provision to elected members. Philippa supported numerous transformation and change projects, specialised in political navigation, relationship/stakeholder management and communication, and instigated many programmes of work around integration of services and advice.
Philippa also has experience establishing new teams and units. This includes setting strategy and vision as part of senior leadership teams, organisational design changes, systems, and processes.
What Philippa loves most about her job is the people she meets and the relationships that follow. She enjoys connecting with people and organisations to understand what makes them tick, to understand how we can best work together toward mutually beneficial and supportive outcomes.
Outside the office, Philippa enjoys spending time with whānau and friends. She is an avid Les Mills group fitness junkie and loves the creative sector, particularly musical theatre.
