We are looking for a vibrant, bold, politically savvy, and forward-thinking Communications Manager, who is passionate about making a positive difference in our city.  This is an opportunity for an experienced communications person with proven experience in leading a high-performing team.  You will oversee our communications plans to ensure Council strategies are aligned, and storytelling opportunities are taken full advantage of.

You will be adept at succeeding in communications implementation, particularly website, social media and news media engagement, and enjoy getting involved in the design and implementation of all types of communications campaigns.  Being able to develop and maintain effective relationships with your team, other senior managers and key stakeholders is crucial in this role.

You will be self-motivated, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be excited by the possibilities of growing a city culture and vibrancy.  You will champion and align our Council Units to speak with one voice through communications campaigns and activities, be a motivating coach and mentor to your team, and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
