For more than a century, Forest & Bird has been Aotearoa New Zealand's leading independent voice for nature. We speak, stand and act for the indigenous plants, wildlife and landscapes that make this country extraordinary. With over 100,000 members and supporters, 44 branches, 65 kaimahi and more than 170 active restoration projects across the motu, we are grounded in communities and driven by purpose.

This is a pivotal moment for te Taiao and for our organisation. We are seeking an exceptional Chief Executive to lead us through a period of change and opportunity including strengthening our membership and supporter base, deepening partnerships, elevating advocacy impact, and securing our future.

  • Able to reimagine how Forest & Bird engages with current and future members, volunteers, and supporters, including growing a digital and social media audience

  • Expert in leading a large member-based non-profit with significant assets and projects with the ability to translate strategy into action
