About the role | Mō te tūnga
As General Manager Compliance, Monitoring and Enforcement (CME), you'll bring enterprise level regulatory leadership to the EPA's Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive.
You'll lead an experienced and passionate multi-disciplinary team of 38, continuing to embed CME's recently redesigned risk-based operating model. Additionally, you will hold delegated statutory authority for regulatory decisions, including prosecution and litigation.
You'll champion a "One EPA" approach, ensuring CME activity is interconnected with the rest of the organisation. You'll also carry regulatory system stewardship responsibility, providing input into the wider regulatory landscape and building credible networks with other regulators, iwi/Māori, industry and central government. You'll continue to grow the EPA's proactive campaign capability, alongside overseeing enforcement where required.

We're looking for a senior executive with deep expertise in complex regulatory systems leadership. Courageous and values-led, you enjoy working collaboratively to deliver great outcomes for the organisation, staff and wider system. You are leader who is known for strategic decision making and exceptional judgement through contexts of change or reform.
