The New Zealand Winegrowers Research Centre Limited (NZWRC) is the first research centre for Viticulture and Oenology based in New Zealand. Newly established in Blenheim, Marlborough, it will deliver world-leading and innovative research outcomes for every stage of the value chain, from grape to glass. NZWRC is wholly owned by NZ Winegrowers and is the first Regional Research Initiative established with funding support from the NZ Government.
Reporting to the CEO you will take on the responsibility for creating, owning and delivering a world-leading research strategy for NZWRC. This will be achieved by effectively managing the diverse science, research and stakeholder relationships to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration. By driving the NZWRC research portfolio you will incorporate both current research and other applied/innovative projects employing world-class science and protect Intellectual Property for the benefit of the NZ wine industry.
You will be a leading figure in the Viticulture and Oenology research field. Along with strong technical knowledge, you will have a commercial mindset that is attuned to creating opportunities for the wider industry. In addition, you will have experience of and excel in:
