EA Networks, the trading name of Electricity Ashburton Limited, is a community‑owned electricity distribution business and fibre optic communications network supporting Mid Canterbury with essential infrastructure and services. Alongside its regulated network, EA Networks operates a substantial contracting business, delivering construction, maintenance and connection services across the electricity and fibre sector.
Being a co-operative business owned by its customers, EA Networks has strong ties to the community and is passionate about the business and region. It’s focus is on delivering safe and reliable network infrastructure that supports the community and the local economy.
As a result of planned director rotations, EA Networks are seeking to appoint two Directors to the Board. Incumbent Directors are likely to re-stand. One applicant must be local to the region.
Candidates of interest will be ‘all-rounders’ with sound governance experience, along with well-developed commercial and financial acumen, proven strategic thinking ability and their collaborative, down to earth and pragmatic style.
The Board meets monthly (11 times a year) and these are remunerated appointments.
